Dünya 1 "Dünya'dan yeni görüntüler

İnsanlık tarihi, insan izinin gittiği her yerde bir yıkım olduğunu gösteriyor. Nereye bir iz bıraksak, doğal süreçlerde bir takım aksamalara neden oluyoruz. Bu, zekâsı ile diğer canlılardan ayrılan insanın bir tür laneti gibi. Lanetimizi taşıdığımız en önemli ve yeni yer ise Mars gezegeni. Atmosferinin inceliği, suyun sadece buz halde ve az bulunması, sıcaklığının yaşama uygun olmaması gibi sebeplerle onu beğenmiyor ve değiştirmek için hümanist projeler üretiyoruz. İnsani bakış açısından bu, kulağa hoş gelebilir fakat bir başka bakış açısı bunu Mars’ın yok oluşu olarak algılayabilir.

Her şeye rağmen bize yaşanabilir imkânlar sunan dünyamız, Mars’ın geçireceği süreci hali hazırda zaten geçiriyor. Lanetli izimizi taşıdığımız her yerde bir efendi gibi davranıp, kuralları sadece biz koyuyoruz. Mars’ı dünyalaştırırken, Dünya’yı marslaştırıyoruz.

İlgimiz gökyüzündeyken, yolunu şaşırmış bir lander’ın, “Dünya 1” isimli bir aracın Dünya yüzeyinden kaydettiği görüntüleri izliyoruz.

Earth 1 “New Images from the Earth”

I'd like to share a revelation during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species. I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You are a plague, and we are the cure.

Is it really so?

Human history shows that wherever the human trail goes, there is destruction. Wherever we leave a mark, we cause some disruptions in natural processes. It is like a kind of curse of man, who is distinguished from other creatures by his intelligence. The most important and new place where we carry our curse is the planet Mars. We do not like it due to the thinness of its atmosphere, the fact that water is only in ice form and scarce, and its temperature is not suitable for life, and we produce humanist projects to change it. From a human point of view this may sound good, but another point of view might perceive it as the extinction of Mars.

Despite everything, our world, which offers us livable opportunities, is already going through the process that Mars will go through. Wherever we carry our cursed imprint, we act like a master and only we make the rules. As we terraform Mars, we marsify the Earth.

We are watching images recorded from the earth's surface by a spacecraft that has lost its way.
